Super Gelding

The Super Gelding program was created to help showcase how amazing geldings are to own.
Geldings are versatile, family-friendly, and wonderful companions in and out of the show ring.
The Super Gelding Program was created to give back to exhibitors and encourage participation
of geldings in the show ring at the local and National levels.

A $25.00 nomination fee will secure your gelding a place in either the halter or performance
categories (or $50.00 for both). Categories are offered for all divisions (see below). The
nominations will be open from October 1 to March 1st of the current show year (for example if
participating in 2025 the fees would need to be paid by March 1st, 2025) points will be tallied
from January 1st - to December 31st of that show season (for example if paying the fee by
March 1st, 2025 the points would be used from January 1st, 2025-December 31st, 2025).

To participate in the program, the nomination form as well as the nomination fee must be filled out
and mailed to the ASPC/AMHR office, postmarked no later than March 1st. All-Star Points will
be used to calculate the winner of the Super Gelding Program. The Super Gelding Committee
will track and determine the winner for each category. The winners of their respective divisions/
categories will be given 80% of the nomination pot for that category as well as an additional
prize that is donated by the sponsors.
If just 15 geldings enter a division the payout would be $300 for the top gelding in that division!
The rules are as follows for each category:

Performance:
For each gelding nominated points will be calculated based on any performance class they have
entered and participated in for the current show year they have been nominated for. If a
Foundation Performance class is not offered the Classic Performance class will be used in its
place. The gelding with the most points in each category will be awarded. The Super Gelding
Committee will calculate all results via the All-Stars Point Tabulation and total all performance
classes each nominated gelding participated in to determine the gelding in each category with
the most points.

Examples of performance classes: Driving, in-hand obstacle, hunter, jumper, liberty
